"Each piece is entirely hand-fabricated and unique. Starting with a sheet of copper, I cut, saw, pierce, file, and form individual shapes. The color comes from vitreous enamel, which I fuse directly onto the metal either with a torch, or in a kiln. The enameled pieces are then often attached to sterling silver 'frames', often with hand-made rivets, bezels, or creative tab settings that enhance each design. The end result is a rich and lively piece of wearable art which complements the unique personality of the individual who wears it."
Angela lives in western Massachusetts in an arts and culture-rich community. Much of the inspiration she draws for her designs and color choices comes from the daily observation of seemingly mundane things: paint chipping off of rusting pipes, old signage, concrete, and close-up views of tiny, tiny things. She seeks to bring the same sense of discovery to the work she creates. |
