Introduction to Relief Printmaking

Introduction to Relief Printmaking (5 wks)

October 29 - December 3 (no class 11/26)

In this five week course students have the opportunity to choose a relief printmaking concentration. After choosing either wood block or linoleum, participants will plan a 2-3 layer fine art edition to print on archival paper utilizing one of Craft Alliance’s three presses. Students will also learn how to choose and mix a color palette using the CMYK process, as well as how to trim paper to use a registration system. Finally, students will see how to hand burnish a print, for making prints at home, without a press.
