Introduction to Screenprinting (5wks)

April 14 - May 12

In this five-week course students will learn a variety of screenprint methods for studio and home use. Students will learn how to utilize stencil methods using household supplies like wax paper, mod podge, and contact paper. Working individually, in the shared studio space, students will print a 3-4 layer fine art print on archival paper. The course will explore mixing colors using CMYK ink, how to register layers, trimming paper, and learning your way around a shared studio space.
Each student will take home an edition of prints.
Students will need to wear closed toe shoes and be aware that clothes may get stained with ink.
