Making a Garden Hand Rake

Making a Hand Rake Garden Tool

Making a Garden Hand Rake

February 25

In this one-day workshop, students will forge out a steel hand rake garden tool. You will learn basic blacksmithing hammering techniques such as tapering and drawing material down, upsetting, drifting a hole, twisting, and riveting, all while you master the art of hammering consistently. Make the perfect gift for holidays, birthdays, and other special occasions.

All blacksmithing classes and workshops are outdoors so dress appropriately: long sleeves, jacket, pants, socks and closed toe shoes and long hair pulled back. If class is cancelled due to inclement weather you will receive a notification via email.
