In this one-day workshop, students, depending on their abilities, will forge out a steel hair pin. You will learn basic blacksmithing hammering techniques such as tapering and drawing material down, upsetting, spreading out material, and using a swedge block all while you master the art of hammering consistently. All blacksmithing classes and workshops are outdoors so dress appropriately: long sleeves, jacket, pants, socks and closed toe shoes and long hair pulled back. If class is cancelled due to inclement weather you will receive a notification via email.
