Phyllis Weber, one of the original founders of Craft Alliance, has dedicated 60 years to enhancing the St. Louis community through her tireless volunteer work. As one of the five women who established Craft Alliance, she played a crucial role in developing it into a gallery and shop with classes, studios, and outreach programs for local high schools. This remarkable journey is just one of the many examples of her commitment to volunteerism.
Phyllis has also contributed her time and expertise to various other organizations. As an original board member of Great Rivers Greenway, she helped set the foundational rules and procedures for the organization. Her volunteerism extended to the Missouri Botanical Garden, where she worked outdoors during the summers, and The Bridge, a drop-in center for the unhoused, where she also served on the board. Additionally, she was actively involved with Covenant House, a residence for homeless youth.
2024 Women of Achievement Awards
Phyllis Weber’s outstanding contributions to the St. Louis area have earned her the “Lifetime Service” award in the 2024 Women of Achievement honors. She will be celebrated along with nine other extraordinary women at the 2024 Women of Achievement Award Luncheon on Tuesday, May 14, at the Ritz-Carlton, St. Louis.
